Each District Chapter will define job descriptions in their local by-laws
(Step 3). This is a list of possible chapter office and/or volunteer positions.
Five chapter officers must be elected by a majority of the chapter members.
All other positions can be on a volunteer basis. Remember at this time
(Step 1) you are required only to have 5 governing board members.
President :
A. Preside over all Board meeting and all chapter meetings.
B. Represent the chapter in all National and local affairs
of the chapter.
C. Plan 2 chapter meetings per year.
D. With the approval of the Chapter Board, appoint all Coordinators
as required for
the conduct of the business
of the Chapter.
E. Shall have signature authority on the Chapter bank account.
Vice President:
A. Assume President's duty in their absence.
B. Plan ___ chapter meetings per year.
Secretary:
A. Record the minutes of all Chapter and board meetings.
B. Furnish a copy of the minutes to the President and Newsletter
Editor as soon as possible.
Treasurer:
A. Keep an itemized account of all financial transactions.
B. Have custody of all funds of the Chapter and shall deposit
them in a bank account.
C. Prepare and present a financial report for each Chapter
meeting.
D. Prepare all financial reports as required by CPSA.
E. Shall have signature authority on the Chapter bank account.
Newsletter Editor:
A. Be responsible for publishing Chapter newsletters.
Program Chairman:
A. Plan ____ chapter meetings per year.
Exhibition Chairman:
A. Coordinate all chapter exhibitions.
Workshop Chairman:
A. Coordinate all chapter sponsored workshops.
TTP Reporter:
A. Report chapter news to the National Newsletter Editor.
Greeter :
A. Keep chapter meeting attendance records.
B. Greet visitors
Phonetree Coordinator:
A. Call or e-mail members and prospective members to remind
them of the chapter functions.
Refreshment Coordinator:
A. Coordinate donations (and/or money) for goods served at
all chapter functions.
Historian:
A. Keep Bio notebook up to date and record chapter events.
